12.7 thousand new companies were headed by women in Ukraine last year, according to the Unified State Register. Currently, more than one third of newly created Ukrainian companies are led by women. This is almost the same level as before the start of the full-scale invasion. The largest number of women directors is in Kyiv, but over the past year the number of companies headed by women increased significantly in Ivano-Frankivsk, Mykolaiv, and Volyn regions. Most often, women choose the fields of wholesale trade, real estate, and also create public organizations.
In total, 12,757 new companies were headed by women in 2025. Currently, women directors account for 34% of all newly created companies, which is almost the same as before the full-scale war.

Women also prevail among leaders in creative and arts industries, employment services, HoReCa, and public administration and defense.
