Over 7,000 people are registered in the Volunteer Registry. The list has grown 2.5 times in less than 2023. According to the State Tax Service of Ukraine, the overall number of official volunteers has increased 21 times since the start of the full-scale war.

6734 people are registered in the Volunteer Registry as of December 2023. In the first part of 2023, the number of official volunteers increased by 2.5 times. This year, the registry has grown by 4018 people. For comparison, during the same period in 2022, only 730 people were added to the list.

Overall, since the beginning of the full-scale war, the registry has increased 21 times. The peak registrations were in December 2022, with 1653 volunteers added in a month. However, the number of Ukrainians wanting to join the registry decreases quarter by quarter since then.

Registration in the Tax Service of Ukraine is necessary so that substantial amounts of donated funds are not counted towards the annual taxable income. Without this, the Tax Service of Ukraine may impose an 18% income tax and a 1.5% military levy on donations.
