Where is the most expensive coffee in Ukraine?

Espresso in Ukraine has become more expensive again: on average, in 2024, a cup of coffee cost 31 UAH. This is 11% more expensive than in 2023. Overall, the price of espresso in Ukraine has increased 1.7 times since the start of the full-scale war. In 2021, the average price for a cup was 19 UAH. The most expensive cup of coffee was in the Odesa region, while the cheapest was in the Khmelnytskyi and Sumy regions.

The average price of a cup of espresso in Ukraine reached 31 UAH in 2024. This is 11% more expensive than in 2023, when it was 28 UAH. Overall, espresso has become 1.7 times more expensive since the start of the full-scale war, rising from 19 UAH in 2021 to 33 UAH by the end of 2024.

As of the end of December, the most expensive coffee in Ukraine, just like in 2023, is in the Odessa region, where a cup of espresso costs 40 UAH. In just one year, the price in the region increased by 20%. Next in line is Lviv region, where a cup of espresso will cost 39 UAH. The third spot is occupied by the Volyn region, where a serving of espresso costs 37 UAH.
For two years now, the cheapest coffee can be found in Khmelnytskyi and Sumy regions, where a cup costs 28 UAH.
The biggest price increase — 29% — was recorded in Vinnytsia region, where a cup now costs 31 UAH. Only in Kharkiv region did the price of a cup of espresso remain unchanged — 34 UAH.
Espresso is the main component of every coffee drink, so its price directly impacts the cost of any beverage at a coffee shop.
The Ukrainian company specializing in restaurant automation, Poster POS, in collaboration with Opendatabot, presents the Espresso Index of Ukraine 2024 — a large-scale study of the average price of a cup of coffee in Ukraine.
