Opendatabot has compiled a list of Ukrainian business owners: 67,000 company owners whose businesses generate at least UAH 10 million in revenue and submit financial reports on time. This represents 19% of all company owners in the country. 73% of them are men. Half of all business owners are concentrated in five regions: Kyiv and Kyiv region, Lviv region, Dnipropetrovsk region, and Odesa region. 80% of business owners have an annual revenue of less than UAH 100 million. To make it into the top 100 leaders, companies need a revenue of more than UAH 8.99 billion.

67,651 business owners in Ukraine own companies with revenues exceeding UAH 10 million. This is 19% of the total number of business owners—among those who submitted their financial statements on time, there are currently over 360,000. Men dominate the list of Ukrainian business leaders, accounting for 73%.

Follow the leaders on the Ukrainian Business Owners Ranking page. If you own a company and your business submits financial statements on time and regularly, look for yourself in the list.

«We decided to set the starting point for the ranking at company owners with revenues of UAH 10+ million. This is exactly the threshold where the simplified tax system no longer applies and the point beyond which an activity truly becomes a business—with structuring, reporting, and all taxes»,

— explains Oleksii Ivankin, CEO of Opendatabot.

The largest share of business owners is concentrated in the capital, accounting for 22% of the total. The Dnipropetrovsk region (10%) and Lviv region (8%) also rank among the top three. If we add Kyiv region and Odesa region, half of all business owners in the country are concentrated in these five regions.

In contrast, the lowest concentration of business owners is found in frontline regions: Mykolaiv region (1%), Luhansk region (0.7%), and Kherson region (0.6%).

To make it into the top 100 leaders of Ukrainian business, a company must have annual revenue exceeding UAH 8.99 billion. The entry threshold for the top 1,000 is significantly lower — from UAH 1.29 billion per year.

80% of business owners in Ukraine earn less than UAH 100 million annually. Only 2% of business owners have revenues above UAH 1 billion — that is 1,355 businesspeople.
