After relocation, the number of companies increased in 8 regions

According to the Unified State Register, over 12,000 companies relocated to other regions in 2025. Some companies managed to change their address several times within the year. In total, businesses changed location 12,920 times during this period. This is 11% more than in 2024, though still less than before the full-scale invasion. Companies most often migrate either from the capital or to Kyiv. Following these relocations, the number of businesses increased in 8 regions. Wholesale trade companies were the most active in relocating.
Last year, 12,197 companies changed their legal address 12,920 times. The number of such relocations increased by 11% compared to the previous year — however, it is still lower than before the full-scale invasion.

Companies in wholesale trade were the most active — almost one in three relocated businesses: 3,798 companies. They were followed by companies in construction (732 companies, 6%), real estate (645, 5%), agriculture (639, 5%), and retail trade (526, 4%).

The largest number of companies relocated from Kyiv to Kyiv Oblast — 779. In the opposite direction, from the region to the capital, 663 companies moved. Other major relocation routes included Kyiv → Dnipropetrovsk Oblast (565), Kyiv → Kharkiv Oblast (521), and Dnipropetrovsk Oblast → Kyiv (501).
Overall, the most relocations originated from Kyiv — 12,558 moves, accounting for 30% of all relocations. Next were Dnipropetrovsk Oblast (4,200 or 10%), Odesa Oblast (2,884 or 7%), Kyiv Oblast (2,755 or 7%), and Kharkiv Oblast (2,336 or 6%).
Among regions that received businesses, Kyiv also led — 11,765 companies, or 28.3% of all relocations, moved to the capital. Dnipropetrovsk Oblast received 4,048 companies (10%), Kharkiv Oblast — 2,889 (7%), Odesa Oblast — 2,880 (6.9%), and Kyiv Oblast — 2,729 (6.6%).

Despite a significant number of relocations, the number of companies increased in only 8 regions. The largest growth occurred in the frontline regions: Kharkiv Oblast (+553 companies) and Zaporizhzhia Oblast (+419 companies). Other regions with increases included Lviv (+213), Sumy (+177), Zakarpattia (+105), Kherson (+95), Zhytomyr (+53), and Ivano-Frankivsk (+48).
At the same time, 19 regions saw a decrease in companies. The largest outflow occurred in Kyiv: −793 companies. Other regions with notable declines were Donetsk (−155), Dnipropetrovsk (−152), Volyn (−101), and Luhansk (−85).
Three companies listed in the Opendatabot 2025 Index also relocated last year. The medical laboratory ESCULAB returned from Kyiv to Lviv Oblast. The insurance company ASKO DS moved from Donetsk Oblast to Kyiv, and ANORBIS-ST, operating in wholesale trade, chose Dnipropetrovsk Oblast instead of the capital.
Among the largest relocators by revenue were companies with billion-hryvnia turnovers. The leader was ZE.TEK, with revenue of 14.17 billion UAH, which moved from Kyiv to Rivne Oblast and operates in electricity and gas supply. DTEK Kurakhivska TPP, with revenue of 8.21 billion UAH, relocated from Donetsk Oblast to Zaporizhzhia. Other major players—including Ukraviasystem, Mit Prom, Stillakva, Busk Cannery, and Jacobs Douwe Egberts Ukraine — mostly chose Kyiv as their new registration location.
