More than 2 million Ukrainians are in the register of debtors. Their number increased by 18% during the year. So another 300 thousand people became debtors.

The increase in the number of debtors can be attributed to several reasons. These are debts the Ukrainians incurred during quarantine and an increase in the percentage of debts sold by utilities and banks to professional collection companies. The introduction of video recording of road traffic violations and the emergence of a parking inspection had a significant impact on the extension of the Unified Register of Debtors.
