Forty-seven percent of Ukrainian courts will not send subpoenas by mail

Almost half of the courts in Ukraine (355 courts) will not send notices by mail. This is about 47% of the total number of courts in the state.

The situation has developed due to lack of public funding.

One of the first courts to stop sending subpoenas was a court of Ivano-Frankivsk. It spent UAH 75,000 a month on postal services, while the budget included three times less. Then the court representatives recommended keeping track of court hearings using Opendatabot.

Similar situations occur all over Ukraine now: UAH 445 million is included in the budget for sending court correspondence, while courts have to spend more than UAH 1.2 billion on sending subpoenas.
